It left of the workshop in 1994 after long hours of work. This year, the Variotrac 300 celebrates its 30 years. A look back at Plaisance Equipements’ first self-propelled machine.
Since opening its doors in 1976, Plaisance Equipements has marketed a wide range of forestry tools, including stump grinders, gyro-mulchers and forestry mulchers.
The brand is making a name for itself in the forestry sector, and is keen to pursue its development. The idea of building a forestry tool carrier was born. In 1994, after long hours of work, the first wheeled self-propelled machine rolls out of the workshop: the VARIOTRAC 300.
The first Variotrac 300 is accompanied by the brand’s first forestry mulcher: the Atila H. The holders and teeth attached to the rotor are also manufactured in the Montigny (54) workshop.
Interest in the Plaisance self-propelled machine grows. A second model with a more powerful engine was launched 3 years later.
